How To Do It!

Sink or Float

Fill a bowl or sink with water and test household objects to see which sink or float. Encourage children to predict before testing and talk about what they notice.

Baking Soda Reactions

Mix baking soda and vinegar to watch fizzy reactions happen. Add food coloring for extra fun while discussing bubbles, changes, and observation skills.

Ice Experiments

Freeze water with small toys inside and explore ways to melt the ice using warm water, salt, or sunlight. Children learn about temperature and cause and effect through hands-on discovery.

Color Mixing

Use water and food coloring to experiment with combining colors. Ask children what they think will happen before they mix and observe the results together.
