1. Colic
-
Fussiness with crying for more than 3 hours a day, often in the evening.
-
Try gentle rocking, white noise, or a warm bath.
-
Usually improves by 3–4 months, but check with your doctor if you’re worried.
2. Teething
-
Symptoms: drooling, chewing on things, fussiness, mild rash.
-
Offer cold teething toys or a clean, damp washcloth to chew.
-
Avoid teething gels or medications without doctor advice.
3. Infections
-
Common colds, ear infections, or diaper rashes are normal but watch for fever, rash, or feeding troubles.
-
Keep hands clean and diapers changed frequently.
-
Call your pediatrician if symptoms worsen or don’t improve.
4. Reflux vs. Spit-Up
-
Spit-up is common and normal if baby is happy and growing well.
Reflux is more serious if baby is uncomfortable, arching back, or losing weight—talk to your doctor.
