The 30-Second Family Connection

How to Do It

Notice something.
“I noticed Maya was really interested in the sensory table today.”

Share something.
“Eli helped a friend clean up without being asked.”

Ask something.
“Is he still talking about dinosaurs at home?”

Celebrate something.
“She worked so hard on writing her name today!”

Invite a connection.
“We're reading about families this week. Is there a favorite family book you read at home?”

You don't need a long update every day. One meaningful sentence can be enough.

Instead of:
“Everything was fine today.”

Try:
“Everything went well today. Noah spent a long time building with the blocks and was really proud of his tower.”

That small detail gives the family something to talk about with their child later.

Try This

Tomorrow, choose three children and make one intentional 30-second connection with each child's family.

Share something specific, positive, or personal about their child's day.

It takes less than a minute—but it can make a family feel seen.
